The rules of the road and the enforcers of the rules of the road are there to make sure you get to work on time, not to keep me safe. I have been given a ticket for “riding on the roadway”, been assaulted by a cop car, and had a gun pulled on me by a citizen for riding on the far right lane of a two lane road with light traffic. On the road you are not my friend or family, you are my potential end. I ride solely to protect myself and have no consideration for the length of your commute. For you it is five minutes late. For me it is my last day.
